Ep.3 / Ghostbusters [2016] / A Beckner and Lipscomb Review

Published on Mar 6, 2017

In this episode of Beckner & Lipscomb Movie Reviews, we critique the 2016 film Ghostbusters: Answer The Call [2016].

We also talk about what we believe came to be the ‘socio-cultural affects’ of the film – specifically – how this film became synonymous with the so-called “troll culture”. Was this film a ‘troll’ itself – or did it just serve to bring out the trolls. Could both be true?

We felt it appropriate to rename this episode “Ghostbusters: Opening The Portal to the Troll Dimension” – because it did just that.

Included in this film analysis we also submit what we consider to be “the gifts of the troll”. Do you agree with us? Do trolls sometimes come bearing gifts? We believe that they do – and we believe that, here, they did for sure.

Please join us in this third episode, for what is our longest but also our most edgy episode. AND BE WARNED – this episode contains numbers ‘trolls’ itself – so please don’t get too mad at us.
